A Colorado Springs police K-9 was euthanized after she leapt over a wall and fell from the top floor of a parking structure, police said Tuesday on Facebook.
The K-9, named Petra, was training as an explosives ordinance dog, police said.
“It is unknown if she saw something over the wall, as she had just exited a police vehicle,” the post said.
