
Keep the umbrella handy on Tuesday in Denver. Weather forecasters say there is a chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms, which will become more likely in the evening hours.
The National Weather Service said there’s a 40 percent chance of percipitation before 8 p.m. in Denver.
Temperatures in the Mile High City are expected to climb to 79 degrees under cloudy skies on Tuesday. That’s right in line with the seasonal average high of 81 degrees for Sept. 9 in Denver.
However, the high of 79 degrees on Tuesday is the warmest in the five-day forecast, as things could cool to a high of 54 degrees on Friday.
Tonight, the weather service said there is a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m., with the overnight low dipping to about 54 degrees.
