Several men climbed a fence at the Denver Botanic Gardens early Friday morning before fleeing the grounds.
Four or five men went over an exterior fence at the popular site around midnight, according to the Denver Police Department.
The intruders fled and ran off toward nearby Cheesman Park.
No items of the gardens, 1007 York St., were reported stolen, police said.
On August 22 , part of the Dale Chihuly exhibit.
The earlier theft remains under investigation.
