As part of the scattered, citywide celebrations for the 204th anniversary of Mexican Independence, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance will this weekend welcome Arte Crisol Danza, a vibrant fusion troupe from Guadalajara, Mexico. Led by artistic director Jairo Heli, Arte Crisol interprets traditional Aztec culture through contemporary dance themes, blending the ancient and modern in its theatrical-minded “Azteca Spirit” program — with help from Cleo’s own dance ensemble.
