Denver police are conducting a death investigation after the bodies of a man and woman were found Thursday in the detatched section of a home on the 5000 block of Lincoln Street.
A police spokesman said detectives at the scene weren’t immediately able to classify or determine the cause of the deaths, adding that it was likely to remain that way until Friday at the earliest.
The unidentified bodies were found after police received a call at about 2:35 p.m.
A short time later, friends and family members gathered at the home, milling outside and sharing tears and hugs while the investigation proceeded. A woman there said the family would have no comment on Thursday.
A man working in a yard adjacent to the home did not want to identify the deceased, only saying “they’re good people.”
“It’s just sad,” he continued. “You come home from work and you find this.”
