Getting your player ready...

Following the Ray Rice controversy, now we hear of yet another NFL player being charged with another alleged crime. But in the case of Adrian Peterson, I don’t see a crime if he was simply disciplining his child.

I dare say there are at least 50 percent of you reading this who, like me, have experienced having to go out, select the proper size branch and then feel its sting on the back your thighs. It didn’t cause me to grow to adulthood with repressed violent tendencies. To be perfectly frank, I learned to never commit the wrong for which I got the whoopin’  in the first place.

Maybe if Ray Rice’s mother had used a switch on him when he was younger, he might have learned to have some respect for women before punching his then-fiancee.

Bruce Wayne, Thornton
