A teenager who ran out in front of traffic in Aurora Sunday night was hit by a car and suffered critical injures.
“It is unknown if he will survive his injuries,” police said in a media release.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m. on East Iliff Avenue just west of South Idalia Street, the Aurora Police Department said.
An Acura was heading west in the left lane and the teenage boy ran across Iliff from north to south and was hit, police said.
He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver, an adult, and a juvenile passenger in the Acura were not injured. The driver stopped and cooperated with investigators, police said.
Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call Lt. Jeff Turner at 303-739-6326.
