Police in Arvada have arrested a man in connection with a Friday stabbing.
Christopher Roel Hernandez, 19, is being held at the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $35,000 on suspicion of second-degree assault. Police say he stabbed a man in an argument.
About 10 p.m. Friday the victim and a group of friends were walking near a shopping center on the 8700 block of Wadsworth Boulevard. Hernandez allegedly started a fight with the man before stabbing him, according to a news release.
Hernandez fled the scene, police say.
Hernandez was arrested in connection with the assault Monday after being contacted by police over the weekend for a separate disturbance.
