After , Kendrick Lamar has delivered. Today, the new Kendrick Lamar song, “i,” has officially dropped, marking the Compton rapper’s first new material since “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City” two years ago.
K Dot crushes the new material with repeated rapid fire and the tactical whit of an expert wordsmith. That sample that you’ve heard a million times in television plugging the Swiffer is “That Lady” via the Isley Brothers. However, Lamar flipped the script and used the luscious guitar riffs as a vibrant landscape for the fresh jam.
