Black Diamond makes hands-free headlamps with multiple choices of brightness and focus. The new Spot Headlamp ramps up the maximum glow to a blazing 130 lumens, which can be adjusted from full to dimmed power with a finger tap to the side of the Spot’s touch-sensitive housing. You get a central triple-power LED light for intense focus, flanked by two single-power white LEDs for a wider-angle view and two single-power red LEDs for night vision. The red lights can be switched from a solid beam to strobe mode (great for cycling at night) with the touch of a button. The headlamp can be put in lock mode so it doesn’t get turned on accidentally, wasting battery life. The Spot Headlamp comes in a choice of colors, from bright red to basic black, white or a muted green. It has a wide adjustable elastic head strap and runs on three AAA batteries. A three-level power meter displays remaining battery life for three seconds after the headlamp is switched on.

Black Diamond Spot Headlamp is $39.95 at .
