Manny Wasinger joined to 200 club last weekend.

Itap how many victories the longtime coach has accumulated in an illustrious career.

With a 20-7 road victory at Pagosa Springs, Wasinger’s Class 1A Pirates closed their nonleague season and gave their coach a career mark of 200-83.

“It just means that I’m old and lucky,” said Wasinger, who previously had strong teams at Alamosa.

After a five-year stint in the local small-college ranks, he returned to the prep level and took over the Pirates in 2013. They are 10-5 in his brief tenure and faced host Center on Friday night to open the 1A Southern Peaks League.

Wasinger joined elite company — in recent years, Glynn Higgs, Dave Logan and Andy Lowry attained the benchmark number.
