That is expected to take place for the duo Thursday night, the first significant step in their return back to full-time action, both coming off ACL injuries.
In fact, camp to this point has been full of good news and good vibes. And from a teaching standpoint, things are much smoother in coach Brian Shaw’s second year at the helm.
“It’s night and day,” Shaw said. “Think about this: Even with our coaching staff, that was the first time that we all worked together, too. So knowing when to interject something, when not to, how to explain it, terminology and everything else, we didn’t have that. And now we do.
“So I can see the comfort level where it is, even with the players that have been here, understanding that when I say something they are getting it now. So I’m pleased at where we are with our progress right now.”
