The Colorado Rapids re-signed midfielder Dillon Powers to a multi-year contract, the team announced Thursday.
The 23-year-old was the Rapids’ first round pick in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft and was the 2013 MLS Rookie of the Year. He has five goals and nine assists in 27 games for the team this year.
“I’m really happy to be at the heart of what we’re building here in Colorado,” Powers said in a statement.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed per league and team policy.
