What will the Rapids’ relationship with Arsenal look like moving forward?

It’s a question that could begin to get answers this week as Rapids President Tim Hinchey and Vice President of Soccer Operations Paul Bravo are in England to meet with Ivan Gazidis, chief executive of Arsenal.

Hinchey said one thing discussed at the meeting would be how the two clubs can further collaborate in a meaningful way.

Both clubs are under the same ownership umbrella — Kroenke Sports & Entertainment. This week, Hinchey noted the Manchester City/New York City FC relationship when discussing his meeting with Arsenal.

NYCFC Coach Jason Kreis has said his expansion club can when it joins MLS in 2015.

The Rapids brought in Arsenal midfielder last winter, but a loan was never finalized.

The Rapids’ president said he and Bravo planned to watch Arsenal’s U-18 team compete to see what talent the London club has in its pipeline. Potential loanees would more likely come from an older group, he added.

Hinchey will then travel to visit his former employer, Derby County F.C., while Bravo continues on to France and Spain, Hinchey said.
