An Arvada man has been charged with vehicular homicide DUI in a traffic and seriously injured another teen.

David Kenneth Bunn, 54, faces additional felony counts including vehicular homicide reckless and two counts of vehicular assault, according to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.

The two-vehicle crash happened Sept. 26 in the 7500 block of Wadsworth Boulevard.

Bunn was driving southbound on Wadsworth, according to court records, in a black Nissan pickup truck when the truck crossed several lanes of traffic and into the northbound lanes.

The truck collided head-on with a Chevrolet Cobalt, killing 17-year-old Lyneah Dike, of Westminster, who was a passenger in the Cobalt, and injuring the 18-year-old driver.

Bunn is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

He was arrested Oct. 1 after being released from a hospital.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday in Jefferson County. Bunn’s bond has been set at $100,000.
