1 Ditch the meat. Loss prevention at King Soopers, 18211 Hampden Ave., stopped a shoplifter at the door after they saw him concealing packages of meat in his backpack. The suspect handed the backpack over to security and then ran away Sept. 23.

2 Chat room meet up. A man went to police to report that a woman he met in a chat room stole his cell phone and drank all his liquor Sept. 20. The man invited the suspect to his home in the 900 block of South Dawson Way where she partied before running off with the phone.

3 Cars only. A man’s car was stolen from the 13000 block of East Smith Road Sept. 25. He said his wallet and a garage door opener to his mother’s home were in the car. Police went to the mother’s home and found that her car was also stolen, but they found the son’s wallet ditched on the garage floor.

4 Bike heist. Three bicycles were stolen from the bike rack in front of CSL Plasma, 690 Peoria St., on Sept. 24. One victim said he locked his bike up and came outside two hours later and noticed that all of the bikes were taken.

5 Easy access. Police were called to the 16900 block of East Tufts Place because a man’s Playstation 4 was stolen while he was at work Sept. 16. The man told police he left his sliding glass door open all day for his dogs to use.

6 Anything for a dollar. A man called police because he watched another man walk up to his car while it was parked in the 2200 block of South Jasper Way and break the passenger window Sept. 24. He ran outside, but the suspect took off. He was only missing $2 from the glove box.
