1 Statue stolen. The owner of The Silver Horse, 1114 Washington Ave., Golden, reported Sept. 20 that his 6-foot-tall, 300-pound, hand-painted, hand-carved statue of a Native American was missing. It was last seen Sept. 16 secured by a MasterLock and heavy chain to a roof post on the sidewalk.

2 Curious car wash behavior. Police went to Sinclair Gas Station, 601 12th St., Golden, on Sept. 21 on a report of suspicious behavior by its car wash. A man was seen throwing clothes and items out of his car at a woman and two children, then driving away as the woman yelled “You’re just a crack head.” Police contacted the woman, an employee of the store, who said it was just her son, who was angry with her but there was no physical violence.

3 Conifer road rage. On Sept. 27, a driver called Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to report an aggressive driver of a blue Hyundai. The driver said that near U.S. 285 at Pine Junction, the driver of the blue car threw a glass bottle at him and made a gesture of shooting a gun at him. Officers ran the plates of the reported suspect and recalled a history of such behavior. (Not shown on map).

4 Drivers rumble on Upper Bear Creek Road. A driver and their passenger reported that on Sept. 27, occupants of another vehicle tried to entice a fight, trailed them, threw items at their car and weaved into oncoming traffic on Upper Bear Creek Road following an exchange at Taco Bell, 30850 Stagecoach Blvd., Evergreen. Officers were able to identify the owner of the suspect vehicle but did not make contact.
