Cody Summers ran for a touchdown and theew for another on Friday night as Grandview remained undefeated with a 24-6 decision of Cherry Creek in the high-end Centennial League at the Stutler Bowl in Greenwood Village.

Grandview, ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press Class 5A media poll, is 6-0 overall, 3-0 in the league. Seventh-ranked Cherry Creek, which hadn’t given up a point in three weeks, is 4-3, 2-1.

Summers threw for 102 yards and ran for 80 to lead Grandview’s offense. Defensively, the Wolves did not permit a point after the first quarter.

VALOR CHRISTIAN 17, CHEROKEE TRAIL 7


In Highlands Ranch, the two-time defending 5A state champion and top-ranked Eagles handled the Cougars in the Centennial in a rematch of programs in the final two seasons ago.

Valor Christian (6-1, 3-0) was led by sophomore quarterback Dylan McCaffrey, who threw for a TD tro Eric Lee Jr. and ran for another.

Cherokee Trail slipped to 3-4, 0-3.

RANGEVIEW 44, GATEWAY 0


In the annual Anvil Game in Aurora, the Raiders (5-2, 4-0) dominated the Olympians (0-7, 0-4) in the 5A South Metro League.

Other league scores: Arapahoe 30, Grand Junction 23 and Smoky Hill 39, Hinkley 32.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN 43, POUDRE 10


In Firt Collins, the Lobos (6-1, 4-1) beat the crosstown rival Impalas (2-5, 1-4) at French Field in the 5A Front Range League.

DENVER EAST 49, THORNTON 6


The Angels moved to 6-1 overall, 5-0 in the 5A Flatirons by pasting the Trojans at Five Star Stadium in Thornton.

Other league scores: Prairie View 48, Northglenn 13 and Brighton 24, Boulder 21.

FOUNTAIN-FORT CARSOIN 43, DOHERTY 42


In Colorado Springs in probably the game of the night, the Trojans (6-1, 3-0) knocked the Spartans (6-1, 2-1) from the unbeaten ranks with a four-overtime victory in the 5A Continental South.

In OT, Fountain-Fort Carson, which won its fourth game in a row, oustscored Doherty 29-28 and earned the victory by executing a two-point conversion.

Drue Harris, who rushed for 116 yards, scored the winning points. Fountain-Fort Carson has four OT victories this season.

Other league score: Chaparral 17, Douglas County 6.

ROCK CANYON 42, HIGHLANDS RANCH 21


Payten Gilmore rushed for four TDs and Ryan Hommel threw for two as the Jaguars (2-5, 1-2) beat the Falcons (1-6, 1-2) in the 5A Continental North.

Other league score: Regis Jesuit 30, ThunderRidge 22.

POMONA 47, COLUMBINE 28


Max Borghi, a freshman, scored five TDS as the Panthers (6-1, 5-0) kept their share of the the 5A Jefferson County lead by decisioning the Rebels (3-4, 3-2).

In Week 8, Pomona will have a showdown for the league title with Ralston Valley, which beat Bear Creek 38-14. It will be Friday at the NAAC with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

LITTLETON 63, JOHN F. KENNEDY 48


In Denver, the visiting Lions (3-4, 2-0) handled the Commanders (6-1, 1-1) in the 4A Plains and knocked them from the unbeaten ranks.

KENT DENVER 39, FAITH CHRISTIAN 7


In Arvada, Jaden Franklin scored four TDs the Sun Devils (7-0, 5-0) took firm command of the 2A Colorado with a road victory over the Eagles (5-2, 4-1).
