It may still be fall, but in the world of fashion, thoughts have already turned to spring.

A shell-pink topper, statement skirts with beaded detailing, little black dresses and a long, one-shoulder Kelly-green dress — all perfect for sunny days and evenings that call for a heaping helping of glam — will be among the styles shown Nov. 6 at the 36th annual Brass Ring Luncheon.

Chairwoman Lyn Schaffer says the Carlisle Collection’s Spring 2015 line will be featured at this benefit for the

, founded in 1981 and based in New York City, is a line of high-end clothing that is sold at seasonal trunk shows by a nationwide network of wardrobe consultants. Carlisle also has by-appointment showrooms in six cities, including Dallas, San Francisco and Chicago.

The Brass Ring Luncheon will be the first time Carlisle fashions will be shown at a charity fundraiser such as this.

“It’s a very big deal,” says Littleton resident and Carlisle consultant Tangy Buchanan.

What can the audience expect?

Melanie Douglas of the Carlisle Collection merchandising board, offers a preview:

Colors of the season: raspberry, echo blue, daffodil, flame red, wave blue, light gray and navy, which is “the new black.”

Vested interest: Vests are everywhere in fashion. “We have one in black leather and one in a neutral crêpe fabric. It’s a cool coat alternative,” she says.

Try this on for size: A fabulous, knock-out dress in gold/silver embroidery and beads with a metallic glazed gauze cropped jacket. Whether you’re mother of the bride, mother of the groom or just Mom, it’s a perfect party dress.

Let loose: Easy-styled dressing, comfy. Think of wearing a casual skirt with a long panel in front and back, high slits on sides and a short skirt underneath.

Hot tickets: Denim jeans, which are a major trend; power suiting; stripes; and jersey dresses.

The Brass Ring Luncheon will be at the Marriott City Center, starting with silent-auction bidding at 9:30 a.m. Welcoming remarks and the show are at 11:15, with lunch to follow.

Tickets can be purchased or by calling Susie Hummell, 303-628-5109.
