The three people aboard the Hawker Beechcraft H25B were not injured in the incident. The plane left Centennial Airport about 11 a.m. and soon reported a problem with its landing gear, officials said. The Federal Aviation Administration said the plane's hydraulic system was damaged when a tire blew out during takeoff. The plane circled DIA for a few hours to burn fuel in preparation for a belly landing. Except for the closure of one runway during the incident, DIA operations were normal.
