The runway at Denver International Airport where an airplane has been reopened, airport officials said early Thursday.
The small corporate jet, a Hawker Beechcraft H25B, made the landing about 3:30 p.m. All passengers were safely evacuated.
The plane departed from Centennial Airport about 11 a.m. with three people on board and soon after reported a problem with its landing gear, officials said.
The FAA said the plane blew a tire and damaged its hydraulic system on takeoff.
The aircraft circled the airport for several hours to burn fuel in preparation for a landing.
The National Transportation Safety Board is leading an investigation into the incident, officials said.
