The schedule for the anti-left political documentary Rocky Mountain Heist will make its TV debut Saturday, the producers, Citizens United, said today.
And just about the same time the schedule was announced for the one-hour movie, ProgressNow Colorado, one of the groups that has moved the state to the left, put out a 30-second video reply called “Don’t Be Fooled,” aimed at Citizens United, the conservative organization behind “Rocky Mountain Heist.” ProgressNow also created a website, /.
Elena Nunez, the executive director of voting rights and public integrity-focused nonprofit Colorado Common Cause, and Amy Runyon-Harms, executive director of ProgressNow Colorado, cited Amendment 65, which Colorado voters passed with a 74 percent majority two years ago.
Though it lacks legal authority, the ballot measure instructed the state’s congressional delegation to push an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would reverse the 2010 U.S. Supreme Court Citizens United decision that removed political spending limits from corporations and unions.
As the flood of special interest money continues to pour into Colorado, voters can have their voices heard by voting in this election, she said.
Runyon-Harms said Citizens United is responsible for “the flood of corporate money that has inundated Colorado voters this election year.
Fortunately, corporations still can t vote, and on Election Day a billionaire s vote counts the same as anyone else s,” she said in a statement. “The only thing that can stop groups like Citizens United are real citizens making sure they vote by Nov. 4.

The group said the film will air 20 times in Colorado before Election Day. “Rocky Mountain Heist” is hosted by national political blogger and commentator Michelle Malkin.
Citizens United won its case before a federal appeals court in Denver this week. The group successfully argued it should not be required to follow the state’s campaign finance laws on disclosure of donors, because the film is a documentary and should be as shielded from opening its financial books as any other media source would be.
