There’s not a shower in sight, but this will have to do: the finally showed up in the Democratic governor’s latest campaign spot. He’s mostly been missing during this fall’s re-election bid.
Of course, unlike in 2010 , Hickenlooper’s had a tough campaign on his hands this time, courtesy of Republican former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez.
In the new 50-second spot, which appears to be online-only for now, Hickenlooper lays out his campaign conundrum for an unseen adviser: He’s vowed not to run negative ads, and now . What should he do? Then there’s the surprising reveal — or maybe not-so-surprising.
I’ll say one thing: Hickenlooper is the second-best actor of the two with speaking roles in the spot. It’s not even close.
