The Denver Post’s Sunday Super Bowl special section cover for Feb. 2, 2014.
Out of the way, Seattle Seahawks. Seriously, you can’t bully the Broncos any more.
Not according to the Westgate Las Vegas Hotel sports book they can’t. Westgate has adjusted its Super Bowl odds following Sunday’s games and the Broncos, who were tied with Seattle last week as co-favorites, are now the clear team to beat.
The Broncos odds to win the Super Bowl are now 3-to-1. Seattle, which lost to the Rams for its second consecutive loss after controversially trading away Percy Harvin, has seen its odds drop to 8-to-1.
Seattle has not only dropped behind the Broncos but also the Green Bay Packers, who have the second-best Super Bowl odds at 6-to-1.
Next are New England and Indianapolis, each with 10-to-1.
The San Francisco 49ers, now banged up on their offensive line as well as on defense, have dropped to 12-to-1. Arizona, surprisingly, and Philadelphia, not so surprisingly, also come in at 12-to-1.
