While the musical world of is all bubblegum pop and starry eyes for New York City, at least one aspect of her personal life seems utterly terrifying.
, Swift revealed that she’s constantly surrounded by security, “Because just the sheer number of men we have in a file who have showed up at my house, showed up at my mom’s house, threatened to either kill me, kidnap me, or marry me,” she said.
Swift said she fought the idea of security for a long time, but hasn’t been able to drive alone for the last six years.
“This is the strange and sad part of my life that I try not to think about,” Swift said. “I try to be lighthearted about it, because I don’t ever want to be scared. I don’t want to be walking down the street scared. And when I have security, I don’t have to be scared.”
Swift also talks about “celebrity-takedown-culture,” and how it’s just pushing to make her have a meltdown.
