Family Fun: “Boo and Brew” gives Halloween an urban twist
saturday. With an increasing number of families transforming Denver’s urban landscape over the past few years, events like the eighth annual “Boo and Brew” on East Colfax Avenue have become extra valuable to the little ones. Kids can go trick-or-treating from 1 to4 p.m. along the 35 participating shops of the Bluebird District, roughly between East York Street and Colorado Boulevard. Free face painting, candy, a bouncy castle, professional snapshots, live music, pop-up haunted houses and more await the tiny ghosts and goblins. Adults will get their due from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. along the same stretch with “The Wander” costumed pub crawl, which includes drink specials, live music, a costume contest (at The Shoppe) and Colfax Costumed Trivia (at Annie’s Cafe). Various times Oct. 25. Free. . John Wenzel
