Bobby Lashley’s making the most of his final run in mixed martial arts.
The 38-year-old beat Karl Etherington via submission by punches 1:31 into their heavyweight match Friday at Bellator 130 in Mulvane, Kan.
Etherington slipped on an attempted throw and that’s when Lashley capitalized. Mounting his fallen opponent from behind, Lashley unleashed a fury of punches to his head, prompting the referee to call the match.
Lashley (12-2-0), who owns American Top Team Altitude in Aurora, said in an interview with MMAFighting.com that , but he sees an opportunity to climb the ladder Bellator’s heavyweight division.
