Getting your player ready...

Did you expect a folky stomp-clap vibe from the first new song off the band’s upcoming sophomore album? Probably not, yet, here’s “I Bet My Life,” the first material off they yet-untitled record.

Imagine Dragons shared “I Bet My Life” today, which opens with a gentle guitar-picking ballad before launching in a big arena rock chorus.

The band has been a familiar place in Colorado, playing multiple shows in the state in the last year-and-a-half. These included and a big arena — two pretty impressive headlining dates for a band with only one record.

Imagine Dragons has promised to release more details about the follow-up to their debut record “Night Visions” soon. In the meantime, get stomping and clapping to this first new track.
