An accident investigation Monday Brighton police expanded when one of the injured parties suffered a gunshot wound.
“We’re still trying to sort everything out at this time,” said police spokesman John Bradley.
According to Bradley, two vehicles rolled over on southbound U.S. 85 in between 136th and 144th streets. Five adults were injured in the crash and transported to local hospitals. When police and medical personnel arrived on the scene, they discovered that one of the injured parties also had what Bradley said was a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Bradley said the cause of the accident had not been determined by investigators.
