Re: “Responses to Postap endorsement of Mike Coffman in Colorado’s 6th CD,” Oct. 21 letters to the editor.
Letter-writer Martha Lugo, in her criticism of The Postap endorsement of Mike Coffman, writes, “A man who calls the DREAM Act a ‘nightmare’ does not stand for immigrants.”
Coffman and other elected officials aren’t supposed to stand for immigrants. He wasn’t elected to advocate for immigrants, especially those here illegally. He was elected by American citizens to advocate for American citizens.
Our elections should not be decided by who will do more for a certain race or non-American nationality, especially for a particular group that is, by rule of law, in the country illegally.
