Police in Brighton have arrested a man in connection with a shooting that happened just before a two-car rollover crash on Monday.
Santana D. Nanez, 33, of Brighton, faces charges of first-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault in the shooting that left one person with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The shooting and subsequent crash happened about noon near U.S. 85 between 136th Avenue and 144th Avenue.
“Police believe the occupants of a black Nissan were shooting at the occupants of a green Saab prior to the accident,” police said.
