Getting your player ready...
It’s hard to say which you’re going to like more about a model opening Remington Homes is staging today at Arvada’s Leyden Rock: the classy walkout ranch you’re going to tour, or the four cul-de-sacs of sites created for this Remington series – every one of them with views across Denver, and designed so that nobody can get in the way of them.
“So, there’s going to be a house built in back of this, right?” early visitors ask Remington’s Cory Filkins, while taking in the views out the back of the model. No, actually not, Filkins replies – nor will there be homes built off the backs of ANY of these ranches, all of them looking down, across Arvada to the lights of downtown Denver. After they grasp what a setup this is, those early visitors have been writing checks – ten homes presold coming into today’s model opening, according to Filkins. The ranches start at $399,950 – and Filkins says at least one site will have no lot premium, meaning Remington could actually deliver a home at that minimum. Yet, even that lot, at the bottom of the drive, would have some kind of view. Meanwhile, you’re going to love what Remington (loads of patio ranch experience from Arvada’s Saddle Brook and Whisper Creek before this) is doing with this newest ranch: It’s sharply defined on the outside – lushly appealing on the inside, with well-defined entry spaces, a great room that empties onto the view deck, and a master suite that’s positioned for privacy, with its own entry foyer. The smallest Remington plan is 1,750 square feet – but all of them have a full walkout added on; and Remington is providing finished basement space on several, including on the model, with two guest bedrooms, entertaining area, and a big storage space, at the standard price. The model shows added options for a well-appointed wet bar and a second fireplace down there – about an $8,500 add-on. Not surprisingly, Filkins says, those early buyers are already taking advantage of Remington’s very accepting policy toward customization, to add their own touches. The buyer of the home next to the model is having the view-deck extended along the full rear elevation of the home; and another is getting a designer espresso bar created in the attractive butler’s pantry you’ll see between kitchen and formal dining room. What you WON’T see are any homes you can move into right away – rather, this is a chance to plan your move and create something just the way you want it.
