
More than 100 contemporary and antique Navajo weavings from Durango’s Toh-Atin Gallery are included in the 29th annual Navajo Rug Sale and Silent Auction scheduled Nov. 8 in the lobby of The Denver Post building. Returning special guests include Jason Clark and Ben Leroux. Clark, a weaving expert and the owner of Toh-Atin Gallery, will offer informal weaving evaluations throughout the day and discuss the history of Navajo weavings in a 30-minute program beginning at noon. Leroux of Southwestern Textile Restoration will offer cleaning and repair estimates. Museum volunteers and professionals will also be on hand to answer questions. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. Proceeds are used to preserve the Joe Ben Wheat Navajo Textile Collection at the CU Museum of Natural History in Boulder. 101 W.
