Authorities in Mesa County arrested a man on Friday accused of biting a 2-year-old on the leg.
Chandler Salazar, 38, of Grand Junction, faces charges of child abuse, false imprisonment, third-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespass, violation of a protection order, reckless endangerment and obstructing a peace officer.
The county sheriff’s office says Salazar was involved in an altercation with a woman when he bit the toddler.
Salazar is being held in lieu of $20,000 cash only bond.
