“Downton Abbey” Season 4, PBS
Riding high on the strength of its most popular series ever, PBS today announced “Downton Abbey” will have a sixth season after the soon to be unveiled fifth, which debuts Jan. 4.
Season 4 drew an average audience of 13.2 million viewers, making it the of all time and one of the highest-rated dramas now on American television.
The sixth season will go into production in 2015 and again will be written by Julian Fellowes.
