The Broncos on Monday , a nine-year veteran and 2012 Pro Bowler who is known best for being an alleged bully and being ranked by his peers as in the league.

It all stems back to the 2013-14 incident with his former Dolphins teammate Jonathan Martin. Here’s a recap in case you forgot how Incognito became one of the most infamous players in the NFL:

Oct. 31, 2013: Martin leaves the Dolphins


According to Fox Sports, Martin was subjected to “persistent bullying and teasing from some teammates” since being drafted in the second round in 2012.

Nov. 1, 2013: NFLPA said to eye Jonathan Martin case


Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito’s role in alleged harassment of teammate Jonathan Martin is under review by the NFL Players Association due to an incident that provoked Martin to leave the team, according to multiple sources of ESPN.com.

Nov. 2, 2013: NFLPA says it is not investigating Dolphins incident

“We have an obligation to protect and support all of our members. We take official investigations very seriously and in this case, we have not launched an investigation into Richie Incognito or other players in Miami.

“The NFLPA believes that management has an obligation to ensure a safe and professional workplace and we will continue to be in close touch with our player leaders and all players involved as the information develops.”

Nov. 2, 2013: Dolphins release statement on Martin case

“… The notion of bullying is based on speculation and has not been presented to us as a concern from Jonathan or anyone else internally. The reports that the NFLPA is investigating our players are inaccurate. Additionally, the NFL offered its assistance during this time, which we appreciated and gladly accepted. We will continue to make Jonathan’s health and well-being a focus as we do with all of our players.”

Nov. 3, 2013: Dolphins rookies pushed to pay for Vegas trip


Sources told ESPN that one of the significant allegations being reviewed is that Incognito, pictured, got Martin to contribute $15,000 to help finance a trip to Las Vegas by a group of Dolphins last summer, even though Martin preferred not to travel with the group. Rather than go, Martin simply gave Incognito the $15,000, sources told ESPN, fearing the consequences if he did not hand over the money.

Nov. 4, 2013: Dolphins change course, suspend Incognito


One source told ESPN.com there are other instances of intimidation captured in text messages and at least one demeaning voice mail. In addition, some of the messages were racially charged in nature, according to ESPN and media reports.

Nov. 5, 2013: Dolphins asked Incognito to “toughen up” Martin


Sources told the Sun Sentinel they believe that Incognito, who is accused of using racially incendiary language and bullying tactics against Martin, may have taken those orders too far.

Nov. 5, 2013: Other players support Incognito, including Broncos’ DT

“Everybody in the NFL knows that when you’re a young guy and when you’re with the O-line you’ve got it the hardest,” Terrance Knighton said. “I mean, that’s been going on for a while. … I don’t know where they crossed the line at; maybe (Incognito) said something personal.

“I feel like, as players, when it is player-to-player, it can be handled as players. It can be addressed. I don’t think (Martin) should have gone outside the team and expressed how things are going in the locker room.”

Nov. 6, 2013: Dolphins players come out in support of Incognito

“What’s perceived is Richie is this psychopath, racist, maniac, right?” tackle Tyson Clabo said. “And the reality is that Richie was a pretty good teammate, and that Richie and Jonathan Martin are friends, or appeared to be friends.”

Nov. 7, 2013: Martin’s lawyer speaks out


Jonathan Martin has endured constant harassment, daily verbal attacks and even a “malicious physical attack” from teammates during his time with the Miami Dolphins, according to a statement released Thursday on Martin’s behalf by lawyer David Cornwell.

Nov. 8, 2013: Report surfaces that Incognito sexually harassed female golf volunteer in May


Richie Incognito harassed a volunteer at the annual Fins Weekend Golf Tournament last year by touching her privates with a golf club and emptying a bottle of water in her face, . Incognito later paid $30,000 .

Nov. 10, 2013: Incognito tries to explain himself in Fox Sports interview


In the interview, Incognito asserts that he’s not a racist, insists that his relationship with Martin was not as fractured as it may seem and says that much of what has been reported is misleading.

Nov. 18, 2013: Incognito files grievance against Dolphins


Under Article 42 of the collective bargaining agreement, the maximum a player can be suspended by a team for detrimental conduct is four weeks plus an additional game check. In this case, that would amount to $1,276,470.59.

Nov. 29, 2013: Incognito’s season ends


The suspended guard reached a financial settlement Monday to sit out the rest of the season, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because terms of the agreement have not been made public.

Nov. 30, 2013: Martin placed on non-injured list


What has seemed obvious for a month now is official: Jonathan Martin won’t play for the Miami Dolphins again this season. The Dolphins moved Martin to the non-football illness list Saturday, according to the NFL transactions wire.

Jan. 29, 204: Martin talks to Tony Dungy about bullying


In his first interview since leaving the Dolphins, Martin said he “felt trapped” with the team and that he felt like he was singled out with the bullying.

Feb. 3, 2014: More than 1,000 texts Incognito allegedly sent Martin published


Through a league source, The Big Lead has obtained the full transcript of over 1,000 text messages Incognito and Martin swapped between October 2012 and November 2013.

Feb. 4, 2013: Dolphins end Incognito’s suspension


Incognito thanks his family for its support and even issues his support for Martin’s return.

Feb. 14, 2014: Details of Dolphins investigation released

“The Report finds that the assistant trainer repeatedly was the object of racial slurs and other racially derogatory language; that the other offensive lineman was subjected to homophobic name-calling and improper physical touching; and that Martin was taunted on a persistent basis with sexually explicit remarks about his sister and his mother and at times ridiculed with racial insults and other offensive comments.”
