1 Hog tied. The employees of an auto repair shop at 7200 E. 54th Place, Commerce City, used a rope to tie up a man who charged at the business owner. The owner bought a van from the restrained man and was disputing the quality of the car Oct. 23. The seller ran at the owner, trying to retrieve the ownership documents and the owner’s employees tied him down until police arrived. The seller was ticketed for harassment.
2 White on a red Corvette. A man called police to his home in the 10300 block of Zuni Street, Federal Heights, because someone used white spray paint to draw a naked woman and curse words on every side of his red Corvette Oct. 12.
3 K-9 ambushing. A loose dog ran up behind a woman who was walking her own dog in the 6500 block of Olive Street, Commerce City, and attacked Oct. 19. The dog bit the woman, and neighbors rushed over to separate the fight. The owner of the loose dog was ticketed.
4 Blame game. Police arrested a drunken driver who drove his car onto a median in the 4100 block of East 120th Avenue, Thornton. The driver said another drunken driver who fled the scene ran him off the road first Oct. 17.
5 Unsupervised tools. Police were called to the 10700 block of Worchester Way, Commerce City, by a contractor who realized that some of his tools were stolen. The victim left his generator and a saw in front of the house Oct. 24.
6 Code enforcement. Patrolling officers in the 2600 block of West 99th Place, Federal Heights, cited a woman for leaving trash cans piled up in front of her house Oct. 9.
