Getting your player ready...

Janice I. Jarrett, Owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: I decided to become an optometrist because I was fascinated by my eye doctor’s ability to turn some dials, flip some lenses and all of a sudden I could see clearly. I moved to Colorado after graduating from optometry school and practiced at several locations in the Denver metro area before purchasing the Mayfair Vision Clinic from the original owner in 1995.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: Being small enough to provide a personalized level of service that is often difficult to find in today’s healthcare environment. My staff and I have been able to get to know many of our patients and customers quite well over the years and we look forward to catching up with what’s going on with them and their families as well as providiing thorough eye exmainations and quality affordable eyewear.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: Being able to provide eyecare in a setting that allows me to interact with a diverse group of people, and having them appreciate the level of care and interaction that they receive.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Keeping up with technology as it changes the way we communicate with current and potential patients and customers, run the business, and deliver care.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: I once shared office space with a dentist and hearing aid business in what is now a take-and-bake pizza store.
