1 Man asks for a dollar, a fight and a prayer. A man called Denver police after he was accosted by another man in the 1100 block of 21st Street. The suspect approached the victim and asked for a dollar. When the man said he didn’t have money, the suspect poked the man in the chest and asked if he wanted to fight. When the man said he did not, the suspect asked for the man to pray for him and walked away.

2 Drunk student “only had four shots.” On Oct. 31, a man was arrested for public intoxication after running around a University of Denver dorm room and waking up students. Denver police contacted the suspect in the 1900 block of East Iliff Avenue after he ran from campus police. The suspect had a fake ID and told police he wasn’t “that drunk” and that he “only had four shots.”

3 Victim’s glasses broken during failed robbery. A man called Denver police on Nov. 1 after he was assaulted at a bus stop in the 4200 block of East Colorado Center Drive. The victim said the suspect approached him and asked for money. He said he had none, but was then hit in the head and taken to the ground by the man. The victim’s glasses were broken but the suspect didn’t get any money.

4 Suspect kicks down door during shoplift. On Oct. 29, Denver police responded to a shoplifting attempt at a Conoco, 3895 Peoria St. A store employee reported the incident and told police that the suspect attempted to leave the store with two bags of potato chips without paying. When confronted, the suspect began banging on the door and kicked the door down without warning. He then fled.
