A man wielding a knife robbed two businesses Wednesday in Jefferson County.
The two robberies happened between noon and 12:15 p.m., one in the 5000 block of South Jellison Way and the other in the 9700 block of West Coal Mine Avenue, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The robberies happened in short order at businesses less than 3 miles apart.
Investigators suspect the same person in both cases, based on witness descriptions and the proximity of the crimes.
The robber is described as a white man, younger than 25, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds.
He was wearing a bandana with a skull print over his face and a hoodie.
The robber fled before deputies arrived.
No one was injured in the robberies.
