A Longmont man who attacked another man with a samurai sword in April has been sentenced to 195 days in the Boulder County Jail after pleading guilty to two counts of assault.

Alexander William Charman, 35, pleaded guilty in Boulder District Court late last month to one count of second-degree felony assault and another count of third-degree misdemeanor assault.

Charman was not incarcerated Thursday.

The attack happened inn April near Walgreens, 1041 Main St., Longmont.
