On-mountain demo
The fourth annual Colorado Demo Days is Nov. 22-23 at Copper Mountain. Enjoy a day of trying out locally made ski and snowboard gear, taste beers from Colorado breweries and listen to live music.
Georgetown’s polar express
Santa Claus and his helpers will be riding the Georgetown Loop Railroad beginning Nov. 22. Kids can meet characters from the North Pole on this one-hour train ride through the Rockies with hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes and take-home ornaments. Tickets are $26.95 for children; $37.95 for adults, running through the holidays.
Local arts in Telluride
Telluride’s Holiday Arts Bazaar is Dec. 5-7. This popular holiday tradition features various exhibitors selling fine arts, crafts, artisan foods and much more, all made in the Telluride region.
Race of the Santas
The annual Race of the Santas in Breckenridge is Dec. 6. Hundreds dressed in Santa costumes will run or walk in downtown Breckenridge; the holiday spirit continues after the race with the Lighting of Breckenridge, featuring holiday carols, cookies, hot cocoa and more. Race registration: $15-$45.
