A Denver Public School teacher who was being investigated after being caught on video snorting an unknown substance has resigned.

DPS spokeswoman Kristy Armstrong said the teacher’s resignation last week, ended the district’s investigation, which began Nov. 3.

The teacher is not being identified, but Armstrong did say this was his first year teaching. The district also is not saying what school the teacher was working in.

Denver Police were made aware of the video, but a spokeswoman said they “could not investigate for possession of a controlled substance.”
