The Denver Woman’s Press Club presents its eighth annual Jewelry Sale for Scholarships Nov. 22-23. All vintage jewelry — shoppers will find silver, pearls, watches, beads, costume jewelry and men’s accessories — are donated by local supporters and club members. Bead maker Bernadette Fuentes will host a trunk show of her pendants and lampwork glass beads. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 22 and noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 23. Ageless love
To help its more mature adoptable pets find homes, the Dumb Friends League is celebrating “Adopt-a-Senior-Pet Month” by waiving the adoption fee for all pets age 8 years and older in November. The standard adoption screening process applies during all waived fee promotions and spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip identification and a free office visit with a participating veterinarian is included.
