The skeleton discovered Tuesday in northwest Greeley are the remains of Trevor Craven, the Weld County Coroner’s Office reported Friday.
The cause and manner of death are still under investigation, Coroner Mark Ward said.
Craven disappeared on Nov. 26, 2011, at the age of 17 from the 100 block of 23rd Avenue.
Two days later, Craven’s mother, Carla Craven, reported him as a runaway to Greeley police. She told police that when she last saw him two days earlier, and he was distraught and possibly suicidal.
As time drew on, two Facebook pages — Missing: Trevor Craven and Community Missing Trevor Craven — were launched as a forum for people to provide tips and support to the family when the police exhausted all of its leads.
