
Police in Colorado Springs arrested a murder suspect Wednesday night who had been on the lam since he allegedly shot and killed a man Sunday.
Patrick Orozco, 21, of Colorado Springs, was arrested in Colorado Springs in the shooting death of Eugenio Solorio-Gomez, 23, also of Colorado Springs.
Officials say Orozco, who may have been in the Denver area, was armed and dangerous. A gold Mazda Tribute linked to Orozco was recovered on Tuesday.
The shooting happened about 8 p.m. on Sunday on the 1800 block of Monterey Road in Colorado Springs where officers found Solorio-Gomez dead.
Orozco’s girlfriend broke up with him in the days leading up to the shooting, according to .
Orozco is being held without bond at the El Paso County jail.
