Officials have closed the center and right lanes of Interstate 70 eastbound in Wheat Ridge after a pothole developed on Wednesday morning that has flattened many motorists’ tires.
The closure happened about 6:30 a.m. near 32nd Avenue, according to police.
Television news helicopter images showed drivers past the pothole fixing their flats on the side of the interstate.
Crews are now working to fix the hole.
