Old-fashioned Christmas

The 54th annual Georgetown Christmas Market begins Dec. 6. The market transforms the downtown area into an old-fashioned Christmas celebration, featuring roasted chestnuts, horse-drawn wagon rides, carolers in Victorian costumes, an outdoor holiday shopping markets, Christmas characters in costumes and more. Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 13-14 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day.

Holiday donkey days

Bennett’s second annual December Donkey Delight is Dec. 6. Tickets for the holiday celebration that benefits Bennett’s Longhopes Donkey Shelter are $15 and include donkey cart rides, hot chocolate, arts and crafts, cookies, cider and photos with “Donkey Santa.” Children under 5 are free.

Trolley Lighting Tours

Trinidad’s Hometown Holidays Trolley Lighting Tours are Dec. 10-14 and Dec. 17-21. Tour the holiday lights in downtown Trinidad and enjoy a holiday mercado, a Victorian Christmas celebration, gingerbread house workshops and more.

Wine, chocolate and cheese

Treat yourself to Ouray’s sixth annual Wine, Chocolate and Cheese Festival on Dec. 13. Taste Colorado wines, dance to live music, sample artisan cheeses and gourmet chocolates from all over the state and vote for your favorites. Tickets are $20. Festivities begin at 6 p.m.
