COLORADO SPINGS — Hundreds of people gathered at Mountain Shadows Park Saturday for the dedication of memorials remembering the Waldo Canyon fire.
The event, which began at the newly completed park playground, presented the Bill and Barbara Everett memorial hiking trail and dedicated the Waldo Canyon Fire Memorial.
The Everetts died on June 26, 2012 in the fire, which destroyed 347 homes and burned 18,000 acres.
