The Denver metro area should expect a fairly mild weather week with little chance for snow but a higher chance for wind gusts.

The rest of Sunday, Denver is predicted to be mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of snow showers and a high of 40 degrees, said National Weather Service meteorologist Jim Kalina. He said winds were blowing in the 15 to 25 mph range.

“The only snow this week would be today with minimal showers that really shouldn’t amount to much,” Kalina said.

Sunday night, he said temperatures will drop to the low 20s with a 10 percent chance of snow.

On Monday, temperatures should stay in the low 40s with a 10 percent chance of snow and and wind gusts up to 30 mph, Kalina said.

For the rest of the week, Kalina said Denver will begin warming up with temperatures hovering in the 50 to 57 degree range from Wednesday through Saturday, which should provide balmy weather for Thanksgiving and Black Friday festivities.
