Uber Technologies, struggling with allegations of privacy abuses including use of the “God View” tool in its car-hailing app to track a BuzzFeed journalist, has hired data-privacy experts from law firm Hogan Lovells to conduct an internal review. Uber clarified its privacy policy last week, saying employees would access data only for issues like monitoring for fraudulent activity and solving problems. “Any violations of the policy will result in disciplinary action, including the possibility of termination and legal action,” the company said.
